Bob Crimmins, the emcee of the tenth Seattle Angel Conference, introduces Eric Neuman, the CEO of Sprawly, who considers himself a professional futurist that forecasts where technology is headed and uses that knowledge to create products that are functional and profitable today.
Eric shares how his experience helped him build a an academic experiment in gear VR which evolved into a viable business that helps creatives build emmersive and interactive 360 video experiences on their offering platform and play-back system. Sprawly is an easy-to-use tool that allows users to quickly build content that usually takes days to create and it can be imbedded anywhere.
Eric explains how Sprawly is gaining traction in their industry by helping local storytellers create top-notch content and how they are working with the NW Film Forum and Seattle Documentary Society to produce a groundbreaking first person documentary in a 360 video format. Eric also introduces his business partner and Head of Business Development, Bobby Alexis and describes what their roles are.
Michal Prussak, the SAC Due Diligence Lead, comments on how Sprawly‘s business compares to competitors and how they are creating something new in a space that hasn’t really been figured out yet. Bobby Alexis responds by explaining how education is key to the growth of their VR and 360 video production software.
Sprawly is one of six Finalists that have endured a twelve week elimination process for an investment by the Seattle Angel group. Each Finalist has ten minutes to make their final presentation before an audience of angel investors which is followed up by a five minute Q & A session with their Due Diligence Lead.
After all the Finalists have made their presentation, the angel investors deliberate and vote on which business they will invest their time, money and energy into growing.
